Privacy Policy

Effective date: 7 November 2026
App: Turnbox
Developer: Ayhan Sarıtaş

In short: There is no sign-up; Turnbox does not collect your real name, e‑mail address or advertising identifier. For the leaderboards the game creates a player profile with a random player ID and a display name (your Game Center nickname or a name such as “Oyuncu 1234”) that other players can see; you can delete it in Profile. To improve the game, gameplay statistics go to GameAnalytics and to our own server on Cloudflare with a random install ID; you can turn this off in Settings → Analytics (in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland it is off unless you turn it on). The ads in the free version are served by Google AdMob, which collects limited device data to show and measure ads. Buying Premium turns off all ads, lets you play offline and lets you continue a lost level without watching a video.

What Turnbox collects

The game has no sign-up. It never asks for your name, e‑mail address, contacts or photos. It collects the pseudonymous gameplay statistics described below (GameAnalytics and our own server), which you can turn off in the settings, and keeps a player profile with a random player ID and a display name for the leaderboards (see below). For friend invites, an invite code and a random device ID are stored on Cloudflare (see below).

What stays on your device

Your progress (the levels you reached, your best scores, your streak and best, your coins and the balls you own), your settings (language, sound, visual preferences, your Analytics choice) and whether you bought Premium are stored only on your own device. They are never sent to us. Deleting the app deletes them.

Analytics (GameAnalytics)

What and why: to improve the game (to see which levels are too hard, where players stop, and how the coin economy and ads work), Turnbox sends gameplay statistics to GameAnalytics, a service provider that processes this data on our behalf (a data processor). What is sent:

This data is not linked to your name, e‑mail address or any account, is not combined with data from other apps or companies, and is not used for tracking. The game never sends free text with these statistics.

Retention: GameAnalytics keeps the data for the periods and under the terms set out in its own policy: GameAnalytics Privacy Policy.

Analytics (our own server)

The same statistics, with the same random install ID, also go to our own server, which runs on Cloudflare (a data processor), so that we can see where players get stuck. It receives exactly the events listed above and nothing else; your country is derived from your IP address by Cloudflare, and the IP address itself is not stored. The data is kept for at most 24 months and is used only to improve Turnbox. It follows the same Analytics switch: when Analytics is off, nothing is sent and events still waiting on the device are deleted.

Opting out: turn off Analytics in Settings → privacy; sending stops at once and the game sends no further events. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland (wherever Google’s consent tool asks for consent), analytics is off unless you turn this switch on. Deleting the app also deletes the install ID. Because the data is not linked to you, we cannot single out yours; for questions, write to the address below.

Player profile and leaderboards (Cloudflare)

You do not sign up. When the game first goes online it creates a player profile on our own server (Cloudflare D1; Cloudflare is a data processor) with a random player ID (such as TB-7K3Q9), a secret token kept on your device and a display name: your Game Center nickname if you are signed in to Game Center, otherwise a name such as “Oyuncu 1234”. You can change the name in Profile (once every 30 days). If you are signed in to Game Center, your Game Center player identifier is stored too, so that your profile can come back on a new device. The profile holds:

What other players see: your display name, scores, Hall of fame entries and badges are shown to other players in the leaderboards. There is no messaging, chat or friend request between players. You can report a name with a long press; a name reported by three different players is hidden until we review it, and we may reset or hide inappropriate names.

Retention and deletion: profile data is kept until you delete the profile; leaderboard and level statistics are kept for at least one year and at most 24 months; raw analytics events are kept for 30 days. To delete everything at once, open Profile → Delete my profile: your profile, scores, leaderboard places, sessions, level counters, survey answers, reports and badges are deleted from the server at once (Hall of fame places stay, shown as “Deleted player”). You can also write to us with your player ID.

Advertising (Google AdMob)

The free version shows ads from Google AdMob: a full-screen ad between some levels or endless runs (never during play, and not before level 8), a banner at the bottom of menu screens (the home screen and the card after a level, never during play), and optional videos you can choose to watch to continue a level after losing it or to earn coins in the shop. To serve and measure these ads, Google’s SDK may process:

If you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, you are asked for consent before personalised ads are shown. You can change or withdraw that choice at any time in Settings → Privacy → Ad choices. If you decline tracking, you still see ads, but they are not personalised. Google’s use of this data is described in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.

Friend invites (Cloudflare)

For the invite section in Settings, an invite code and a random device ID generated by the game are stored on Cloudflare (Workers KV) to match invites and credit the rewards (pending coins). If you use someone's code, the code you came with and reaching Level 10 are recorded as well. These records are not linked to your name, e-mail address or advertising identifier, are not combined with analytics data and are not used for anything else. To have them deleted, write to us with your invite code.

Purchases

Premium (a one-time purchase) and coin packs are handled entirely by Apple. We never see your payment details.

Network

Without Premium, starting a level needs an internet connection; Premium lets you play offline. The network is used to load ads, to make or restore a purchase, (if enabled) to send gameplay statistics to GameAnalytics, to keep your player profile and the leaderboards and to match friend invites on Cloudflare; while offline, the statistics wait on the device.

Children

Turnbox is rated 4+ but is not designed specifically for children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated text will be published on this page with a new effective date.
